Offaly is set to receive six newly attested Garda members as part of the latest nationwide Garda recruitment drive.

The additional Gardaí will bolster frontline policing across the county, with the aim of increasing Garda visibility and supporting communities in both urban and rural areas.

Welcoming the allocation, Tony McCormack TD said he will continue to push for further Garda resources for the county as recruitment continues.
