A successful Property Marking Day was held in Birr over the bank holiday weekend, with a strong turnout from the local community.

The event was supported by Birr Neighbourhood Watch, Ballyboy Community Development and Pat Duggan of Muintir na Tíre.

A wide range of property was marked, including bicycles, tools and boat engines.

Property marking is a simple but effective crime prevention measure. It can help deter theft and make it easier to identify and return stolen property.
