Crafting workshops to take place in Kilcormac as part of DCU research project

Two crafting workshops are set to take place in Kilcormac Fiesta Hall next Wednesday, as part of a research project being carried out by Dublin City University.

The workshops will take place at 11.30am and 6.30pm and are open to adults who would like to take part, with no previous crafting experience required.

During the sessions, participants will create a zine, a small handmade magazine, focusing on environmental change in the local area.

The activity will also provide an opportunity for participants to discuss how climate change and other environmental topics are represented and covered by the media.

The zines created during the workshops, along with the conversations that take place, will help inform a research project examining how people in Ireland think about environmental issues.

Organisers have stressed that no previous experience is necessary, with the workshops designed to be accessible to anyone interested in taking part.

Participants will also receive a voucher as a thank-you for their time and contribution to the research.

The workshops will be held at Kilcormac Fiesta Hall, with sessions beginning at 11.30am and 6.30pm next Wednesday.
